Force for Good

I've been a member, supporter and lender of KIVA for the past year. It is a brilliant concept for helping to finance the hopes and dreams of people all over the world. I particularly like the interest free strategy of this plan. Not only is it the right way to do this, it makes it much more acceptable and accessible to countries with large Islamic populations, where the concept of interest is not embraced.

We are kiva's biggest fans!

kiva,
You guys are the best!
As a token of our support, we launched the KivaB4B Project, a joint initiative between Kiva and Advanta, one of the nation's largest credit card issuers for the small business market.
With the KivaB4B credit card, Advanta matches each Kiva grant - dollar for dollar - up to $200 per month per account. We call it: "double the capital, double the impact." Both new and existing cardholders are eligible.
Cheers

Be the change
-
I just started using the site and it is amazing. I love being able to help in any way that I can...and being able to loan as "little" as $25 is huge for me. I don't enjoy feeling as I have to wait for my multipling abundance before sharing abundance with others. We all have the ability to live the life we dream of and Kiva is helping everyone to be who they want to be in this world. I love it!

Charity Addiction

Once you go to this site and look around, you will find it difficult to leave without lending to someone. Plus the money you lend recirculates. The person you lend to pays it back, and then you can either take your loan money back or lend it to someone else. It can keep working for years! I love this place. I have six lendees currently, and look forward to getting more every month.

KivaB4B

I work on the KivaB4B project, and I think it's a really wonderful program. Kiva is working with Advanta to create KivaB4B (www.kivab4b.org). Advanta will match the Kiva contributions of its customers dollar for dollar, up to $200 a month. That means every KivaB4B participant has double the impact on developing world entrepreneurs.
If you have a small business, I hope you'll check it out.

Best gift to give!
-
I love giving Kiva gift certificates for birthdays and holidays like Father's Day and Mother's Day. It's the gift that keeps on giving and giving and giving and giving. All the recipients of the gift certificates has been so grateful that I have given them a way to give rather than clutter up their lives.
Don't waste what you'll spend on your mother in flowers this Mother's Day, get her a gift that she can give that will continue to do so and will have ripple effects we may never see.

WOW!

You know you are onto a good thing when you go to Kiva's website and the name Oprah Winfrey is mentioned and the site is so busy it asks you to check back later. Well I did and I was hooked. What an amazing idea. It gives you the chanceto do something "concrete" to help and at the same time have a name and a face and a situation to go with it.
Thanks Kiva for giving me this opportunity.

I'm not rich but I'm a philanthropist

Not just a great idea...it's a fantastic idea. I am able to give a little to have Kiva work with others to add a little more and come up with a lot to help someone change his/her life (and maybe family members too). This is one I would like to give to again and again. I first heard about the organization via a line of text in an email signature. I was curious, checked it out and now the ball is rolling. I encourage you to look at what $25 can do!
