Sponsor 100 children for a year of school in Nicaragua

Nicaragua is the second poorest nation in the Western hemisphere, second only to Haiti. In this country, 50% of the kids that start 1st grade never make it to 5th grade. It is our goal to make ths percentage drop significantly.

$100 is what it takes us at Empowerment International to put a child in school for a year. During that year they receive supplies, uniforms, shoes, and lots of individualized attention. We visit the homes of each child and work with the parents and the children closely to help them understand the long-term value of attending school.
