Improve education in the developing countries.

Vito A. recommended by Vito A.  Vline2  Mar 16

The mission of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF is to promote the survival, protection, and development of all children worldwide through fundraising, advocacy, and education. Our work is accomplished through a collaborative tapestry of individuals, non-governmental organizations, corporate partners, faith-based organizations, the media, grass-roots groups, and children themselves, all of whom have joined UNICEF to help shape a world where the basic needs and human rights of every child are realized. A world where all children share in the joy and promise of childhood, realizing their rights to dignity, security, and self-fulfillment. Since 1947, we have provided more than $1.6 billion in cash and Gifts-in-Kind (donated supplies and services) to assist UNICEF?s lifesaving programs.

Advocate for Diabetes

Bianca L. recommended by Bianca L.  Vline2  Aug 17

UNICEF is the United Nations' arm for children. As diabetes also affects children of whatever age, it is only proper that the illness should also be a concern of this organization.

Kendra K. recommended by Kendra K.  Vline2  May 14

They have lines of aid transport through Burma already, and have been a big part of the relief effort so far.

UNICEF is perhaps the leading international organization fighting to rid the world of polio, once and for all.
