House of OM
Om Records, a long time supporter of NextAid, has graciously adopted the House of OM - to be placed in one of NextAid's future projects in Africa.
The House of Om will be a safe, comfortable, loving four-bedroom home for 6 children who have lost their parents to AIDS, and an adult caretaker. The house will be built using natural building methods. Examples of sustainable techniques to be used in the construction are hybrid systems of compressed-earth blocks and earthbags and metal roofs with water catchment gutters and cisterns.
Take Action. Help Om Records reach their fundraising goal by donating and spreading the word. Grab the HTML code for their fundraising widget from the House of Om site and post on your MySpace site and website. Tell your friends about it and have them do the same. All your efforts will help make a tangible difference in the lives of children in need.
