Guesthouse

In 2005, in partnership with Youth with a Vision, a South Africa-based nonprofit, NextAid began work on a community center in the poverty-stricken town of Dennilton, two hours NE of Johannesburg. The ecological community center will serve as a hub for the community where resources can be concentrated, aid efficiently distributed and youth inspired to reach their potential.

Help African Angel Tours, NextAid's on the ground travel coordinator, raise funds for a guesthouse. This house will provide lodging for up to 16 guests, volunteers, or visiting eco-tourists. The house will include four bedrooms with two beds each, wardrobes, and cabinets; a kitchen complete with a stove, refrigerator, sink, table, and chairs; a common room with couches and shelves; a shaded patio/outdoor space; a compost toilet/solar-heater shower bathing area; and gardens.

As of now the nearest place to stay is about two hours away and the guesthouse will offer accommodation to visitors as a way to generate income for the village.
