This is extremely interesting to me. Back when I had aspirations of earning a Ph.D., I read a lot of studies concerning dyspraxia (or other motor problems) related to hydrocephalus, autism and other developmental disabilities.
One thing I am pretty sure was mentioned in at least one of the articles was a positive correlation between poor coordination and early reading abillity.
I find dyspraxia in myself to be a complex issue - manifesting itself in different ways depending on the time of day, how much sleep I've had and other factors.
Speech dysfluency is only a problem in the first hour or so after I wake up in the morning - or any hour or so after a prolonged sleep period. I tend to be very careful of interactions in that critical time period, especially after a mildly scary run-in with a cop - coming off a long train ride in which I managed to sleep until the train pulled into the station.
If I have a radio show to do, I allow at least 2 full hours after I wake for me to do the show, especially live.
