Exactly. I know people with PTSD and other forms of anxiety and have never seen any of them want to rape kids or watch child porn because of it. I call bullshit on the entire thing and say we should lock him up forever. When people are serving life for non-violent crimes, why are these types of crimes not taken more serious than they are? It's crazy.
To me, it sounds like a cheap excuse for doing something filthy in order to get away with less time. I personally think child sex/porn and/or rape crimes should be hit with much harder sentences compared to what they are now. 2 years or even 6 years in my opinion isn't enough. Something's not right with this guy (or anyone who looks at child porn or touches children) so why aren't they dealt with properly?
I do not smoke (I used to in the past) but I think legalization is the perfect way to go about things. The "War on Drugs" has been an utter failure (and highly costly), marijuana is not harmful to your body/mind like they used to paint it as in the past, and the crime rates would drop drastically. 800K people have been arrested on Marijuana charges. It's horrible and I'm glad to see states taking active stances towards the legalization.
I haven't seen it yet. My girlfriend and I don't like movie theatres so we're waiting for it to hit DVD.
I hope he wins though. From what people are saying, it's been a great movie.
I think people are starting to realize that obesity has been getting a bit out of hand and are making proactive steps towards a healthier life. After the huge downslide of the health in the US amung adults as well as children, I think it has opened eyes to the problems it causes.
I also think that the WII has been a great alternative for children who are consumed with video games because it actually is an active game. So even though they're inside and not being "active" in sports and other activities, they're still moving more than they were when they were planted on their asses right in front of the tv for hours on end while electronics became the 'free babysitter' for their parents.
