James Appleton

Born/Raised Brooklyn, NY. Child of a young widowed mom with 5 children who instilled values of hard work and education. We benefited from the New Deal benefits that helped our family survive. A veteran of the Vietnam period, benefiting from the GI Bill and the NDEA I dedicated myself to a career as an educator in the sciences. I advocate the elimination of nuclear weapons and diplomacy as the solution to world disagreements. Now retired I study history and political science with emphasis on the Middle East. I've become an advocate for the recognition of the rights of the Palestinians and a two state solution that returns Israel to the borders granted to them in 1947. Peace will never be achieved in the Middle East until America ends its support for Israeli aggression and the apartheid policies that are invoked against the Palestinians.
