Michael Abuya-Chairman Homa-Bay Orphans Self-Help Group

Michael is the founder of the Homa-Bay Orphans Self-Help Group which he started to assist the children orphaned by several reasons in Homa-Bay District in Nyanza Province-an area that has been neglected by most organizations that support the orphans in Kenya.His idea was fueled by the need and urge to support the orphans whose numbers have been increasing by the day.It is his hope that his dream "to empower the orphans and vulnerable children in order to transform them to be responsible members of society. We want to achieve this by providing them with shelter,food,clothes,good health,education and loving care." that has become the main vision of the orphanage will be realized.

He is responsible for the day-to-day running of the orphanage as well as championing for sponsorship of the various projects that are aimed at sustaining the orphanage.
