Cathy Mendonca

I have been involved in San Diego's activism circuit for almost three years. My background includes advocating, educating and direct action organizing on issues of domestic violence, food justice, homelessness, LGBT and union rights. I also have an extensive direct service paid and volunteer background which includes being an ESL Tutor and Mentor to refugees resettled to the United States, Community Outreach using art forms as a vehicle to create positive, long-lasting change in children and youth facing major life challenges, a sexual assault response team (SART) Advocate, and behavior and job coaching for individuals with disabilities.
