Liga Humanista Secular do Brasil

LiHS, the Secular Humanist League of Brazil, is an association dedicated to gather skeptics, agnostics, atheists, free-thinkers and secular people around values epistemic and ethical. The epistemic values are those in the skeptic stance toward propositions and in the scientific craft of an ongoing and humble construction of knowledge about the world and ourselves. The ethical values are those expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, aided by consequential ethics. LiHS encourages humanists to live according to these values, in a democratic debate against dogmatism and authoritarianism, building meaning to human life in an aesthetically satisfying way.
