As an advocate for people challenged by disability, I respect the views of the people for whom I advocate. If the autism community does not believe that Peter Bell represents their interests, then his appointment is inappropriate. Ours is a representative government and if the people whose interests Bell claims he wishes to represent do not want to be represented by him, then he shouldn't be appointed to do so.
