I am an Angeleno by birth, a Washingtonian by location, and a Chicana by heart. I'm passionate about ameliorating inequality and fighting for social justice, and believe that the battle for educational access and equity is a key part of this fight.
I currently work in student services & retention at an HBCU, and mentor young progressives of color through the Public Policy and International Affairs fellowship program, and through the Center for Progressive Leadership New Fellows program. I love writing, both creatively and analytically.
