James is a jesusy social justice liberal christian. He grew up in Los Angeles and studied religion at UCLA before moving to Atlanta for a Masters of Divinity at Emory University's Candler School of Theology. During seminary, he began working for social justice organizations, including Georgians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty where he worked on the movement to free Troy Davis from death row. In 2010 James moved back to LA to continue working against the death penalty for the ACLU. In his spare time, he enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
