Since a young age, Ilyes enjoyed getting involved in his community. Whether it was with non-profit organizations such as Impact, volunteer at Hema-Quebec, Ilyes has done many efforts to better his community and to inspire other young people to get involved in useful projects.

In high school, Ilyes enjoyed devoting much of his time to his community through his role as Student Representative in various contests and conferences. Concerning his hobbies and interests, Ilyes likes sciences, sports, poetry and literature.

Ilyes is also part of the Creating Local Connections team where he serves as the Quebec Virtual Engagement Coordinator.
