  I just wanted to chime in and say how cool it is that Change.Org and the Change.org community can help us on this. And in the end - it will come right back to your community too - we want to make this information available to as many folks as possible because, like you, we believe it is a civic good to raise awareness about cops, courts and crime issues.

  We've actually been working on two criminal justice related stories. I'll email you about them. In one we received a matching grant too!

  
  

  But the real issue is: Assuming newspapers don't make a stunning comeback... what next?

  
  

  It's a good question and I don't claim to know an answer. But I am an optimist that we will find something if only because - I beleive our society will not let issues like criminal justice and others go un-watched.
