I am a junior at Washington University in St. Louis, studying Biology, Psychology, and Public Health. I am the president of GlobeMed Wash U, an organization dedicated to promoting global health equity and sustainable change in developing countries.
I am incredibly passionate about making global health equity a reality. My passion arises from the realization that only one thing separates me from a suffering child across the world: my country of birth. I truly believe that health is a basic human right, and I refuse to sit back and passively accept that in this day and age, access to health care is a privilege determined purely by where you are born.
Through my involvement in the movement for global health equity, I have been inspired to believe in my responsibility and ability to change the world. GlobeMed has empowered me to become a leader and find my voice, and has given me the immense opportunity to create sustainable change and empower communities for a better, more just world.
