Christina commented on the petition |It is this kind of treatment that makes people not do the right thing and help someone that is in need. We have watched on 20/20 people that ignore people that need someone to stand up for them. Precious few people will step outside their comfort zone and help. This employee did not hesitate to stop something that was happening in the store that should not have been happening for so many reasons. Would Safeway have been happier if the employee had just stood there and watched and did nothing? This is the kind of story that is sad because someone someday may be killed by a attacker while others just stand by and watch. I have family in the area and they have all agreed Safeway will no longer get their business until he has his job back, a public apology and back wages paid for his family that is soon to grow.
