I learned about the workers jumping to the deaths back in 2010. Unfortunately, it was just after I upgraded one of my phones to an I-Phone. I regretted the upgrade and can assure Apple, it will be the only Apple product found in my home.
It costs Apple just under $150 to make these phones & less than $2 per phone is labor. To make millions for the CEOs/Board members, you do it on the back so these workers. If you brought those jobs to American, it would cost you $2-15 more in labor per phone. If your product is good enough people will pay more OR you could reduce your profit margin OR the salaries of those like Jobs, who was nothing more than another capitalist who put the almighty dollar before his humanity. His rationale undoubtedly was that it was the Chinese who were exploiting their own people, therefore, it was not his problem or that it at least gave these people jobs to be employed at.
The biggest resource the Chinese have is their human resources, and their culture clearly reflects they have no respect for the lives of their workers; that they're just so much fodder for the greed quest of their employers.
Apple - you have one choice to make - step up and put people before profits. If not, then I will not grieve the demise of your company any more than I did that of Jobs, who was no more than a fraud.
