Lol! This approach is happening in Canada too. Check out this great video from Homelessness Is Over...they make a newscast of the announcement that "Vancouver Ends Homelessness": http://homelessnessisover.ca/main.php?mod=vid&linkuri=videos
Thanks to both of you for your consistantly interesting and current posts!

Thanks a lot for this post! The links between housing and HIV are sometimes hard to understand if you're not involved in this world, so thank you for helping to highlight them.
I am working on a website that highlights these issues in Canada called www.HealthyHousing.ca. It's for service providers, people living with HIV/AIDS and researchers, so check it out!

Hi Alanna,
I'm really enjoying this series on global health jobs, especially as I'm in the midst of job searching as well!
One question I have is that a lot of the entry level jobs that I'm looking at require a master's degree, but in order to get into grad school, they'd like you to have a bit of experience in your field. It's a catch 22! How do you recommend getting around this issue?

Hi Alanna,
Thanks for this post. I read it last week, and then thought about it today when I heard about a project run through the University of Toronto that's focusing on improving evidence based health in Ethiopia. A group of medical librarians around Toronto are working to improve access to information for health workers in Addis Ababa's Black Lion hospital and also doing skills training around using this info to support evidence and best practices in clinical diagnosis. If you hadn't posted this, I probably wouldn't have paid as much attention!
