Do you mean the hundreds of eggs that a woman will shed in her lifetime?
Perhaps what you meant to say is that you are concerned about late term abortions right? Abortions which are performed in order to save the mother's life or are performed if the fetus isn't viable?
If you are talking about 1st and 2nd trimester abortions then surely your "unborn children" remark was a typo right? As pro choice people try to make abundantly clear (and anti choice people ignore) an embryo is not an unborn child. It is a clump of differentiated cells which has the potential to become a born child IF its host is able to allow it to progress to the point where it can survive on its own.
As I mentioned to another man, in another post, on another board: until you can carry a pregnancy to term allow women to make choices regarding whether they wish to carry a pregnancy to term or not.

Sarah commented on the article |Mike in CT: NFP is a lot of work with very uncertain results. I'm sure there are people who use NFP and enjoy using it but for those who do NOT wish to use it, there should be other (more effective, easier, reliable) options.
Sperm can survive inside a woman's body for up to 7 days so if a couple has sex up to a week before ovulation they can still get pregnant. Also, I don't know if you've ever used NFP (my husband and I did when we were having trouble conceiving) but it's easily screwed up. The woman has to take her basal body temperature first thing in the am when she wakes up BEFORE getting out of bed. A number of factors can influence the results and give a false reading (bear in mind also that the "high" temperature that a woman experiences when she ovulates is about 1/2 degree C) such as a nightmare just before waking up, fluctuations in the temperature of the room, how long she's been awake before taking her temperature, the time of day she takes her temperature etc etc.
People have been using NFP for centuries (because there weren't other options) if NFP actually worked there would be a lot less "oops" babies in the world.
So how about you let people make their own decisions about contraception rather than spreading misinformation about playing Russian roulette with genitals.
BTW if you have been using NFP and haven't gotten pregnant with it I'd suggest getting you and your partner's reproductive systems checked. You're either very lucky or there's something wrong with one or both of you.
