  Prosecute the killer of our son, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin

  I consider myself a libertarian and generally support liberal gun laws. But this is not a case of gun rights, self-defense, or stand your ground by any stretch of the imagination. This is about a gross negligence on the part of local, state and federal authorities which allowed a power-hungry fool with a history of physical violence to possess a concealed firearm and placed him in a position of power. This is also about the utter lack of competence on the part of local authorities who failed to prosecute Zimmerman or even to submit him to any semblance of due process of legal investigation. This lack of due process in the face of even a pittance of conflicting evidence would be unacceptable. In Zimmerman's case, it is flagrant disregard for law and a great shame for our country's democratic law.
