Natasha commented on the petition |J C Penney: I read blog comments and Facebook comments during the Ellen De Generes issue. All I saw were happy people promising to shop J C Penney. Believe me, one million moms is NOT one million people; and the most of rest of us either actively support you, or haven't even heard about the controversy, or will forget about it.
Besides, it is very hard to boycott a company that you have relied upon. I remember how hard it was to stop using WalMart, and I know of few people now who don't go there, regardless of their terrible practices and treatment of women. People aren't very good at boycotting, and they forget soon.
But people who want to shop there because they are thrilled about your pro gay stance, are NOT going to forget.
