I suspect there is more to this story than the petition indicate, but I would sure be interested in getting the full story.
Two reasons I'm signing: 1) I'm a death penalty supporter but believe it should only be used in cases that are "beyond a shadow of a doubt". This does not appear to be one of those cases. 2) I was raised in Georgia and believe it's a great state. I don't want the execution of a man who may turn out to be innocent to diminish my pride in where I came from. Thank you.
I'm actually a death penalty supporter. But it should only be used in cases where guilt can be proved beyond a "shadow of doubt " (not just beyond a "reasonable doubt"). This does not appear to be one of those cases.
