Pittsburgh Opera Director of Development: Rescind the Tom and Susan Corbett Lifetime Achievement Award.

My son will not be able to start an instrument at Pittsburgh Linden next year thanks to the budget cuts from Governor Corbett. Linden is also losing 1/2 of its entire music program. With cuts like these my son has much less of a chance of growing up an opera lover. Corbett does NOT deserve this award.

Apple: Protect Workers Making iPhones in Chinese Factories

I have used apple computers since the first Mac rolled off the presses in 1984. I love Apple products, but I am outraged by recent revelations about how Chinese workers in Apple factories are treated. I will continue to be a loyal Apple customer if Apple starts to treat all of its workers with the dignity, respect and quality working conditions they deserve.
