  • United States Grants Temporary Protected Status to Haitian Immigrants
Frank commented on the article | about 2 years ago

The United States gave huge amounts of money to Haiti and oversaw the building of 1,000 miles of road, telephone lines, updated its port, and subsidized Haiti to start exporting sugar again. The US also put an end to the thousands of robbers and thieves along Haiti’s border with the Dominican Republic. Still, in 1934 at the infantile request of the partially stabilized and very ungrateful Haitian government the US left.

To no one's surprise Haiti immediately sank straight back into total cultural and political savagery. In 1973 the United States taxpayers again began playing a major role in Haiti by giving them huge sums of money in handouts each year.

In 1994 the Bill Clinton still had to send the US military to Haiti to again rebuild the island’s destroyed infrastructure.

In 1995 the Peace Corps went to Haiti in order to train the Haitians in job skills. Taxpayers spent almost a billion dollars giving them food and job training between 1995 and 1999.

So when Prerna says "Victory" she neglects to mention Haitains, who are clearly unable to build and maintain their own civilization, have already had our full support since 1915.

Haiti is East St. Louis, Compton and Detroit writ large.

"No Haitains Here!," should be the cry.

  • Uphold Kennedy's Legacy on Immigration Reform
Frank commented on the article | about 2 years ago

Let's not lose track of Ted Kennedy here, and by extension his under-the-rock adherents. This Change article is about HIM, and it takes very little to reveal the unbelievable damage Teddy has done to a nation of Euro derived persons.

Because of Kennedy, our successful culture finds itself turning into a foreign culture that failed, i.e., Mexico. A March 2007 PEW report shows Mexicans in America becoming the new dominate majority by 2050 at 53 percent.

    Some legacy, eh DiBranco?

It comes as no surprie though, given that Teddy Boy destroyed our America just as quickly as he took Mary Jo Kopechne's life on a drunken night somewhere back in the Marxist 60s.

  • Will Obama Make Good on His Promise to Tackle Immigration Reform?
Frank commented on the article | about 2 years ago

Clearly then, the Republicrats on both sides of the mythical aisle want more of the Third World on the ground here. Different reasons of course but with the same outcome.

In theory then, since we are basically all the same as the last mestizo that dragged himself across the border or the latest Haitian that washed up on a Florida’s beach, everything will still be the same once they are here, Norman Rockwell incarnate.

The fact that they will outbreed European Americans 5 to 1 while receiving special perks like federally bankrolled advocacy (groups) and public assistance can’t possibly demean us as a homeland because we are all the same and we can all maintain the same civilization, correct?

  • Immigration Reform Will Benefit the Middle Class
Frank commented on the article | about 2 years ago

You are implying then that a steadily burgeoning Mexican population in the US, once it achieves majority status, will be JUST LIKE the European population that built this nation. Am I understanding this correctly? If the demographic tides were reversed would Mexico be as it is-- Mexican?

"This country (America) and this people seem to have been made for each other, and it appears as if it was the design of Providence, that an inheritance so proper and convenient for a band of brethren, united to each other by the strongest ties, should never be split into a number of unsocial, jealous, and alien sovereignties." -- John Jay, Federalist #2

Fast forward 200 years, along comes liberal Harvard Professor Robert Putnam who said: "Rather, inhabitants of diverse communities tend to withdraw from collective life, to distrust their neighbours regardless of the colour of their skin, to withdraw even from close friends, to expect the worst from their community and its leaders, to volunteer less, give less to charity and work on community projects less often, to register to vote less, to agitate for social reform more, but have less faith that they can make a difference."

Drop the 'benefit the middle class' nonsense. Its all about hating whitey for crimes real and imagined and you know it.

  • What's Good for the Immigrant Is Good for the Economy
Frank commented on the article | about 2 years ago

This argument is moot in spite of all the techno speak and niggardly jousting.

Trying to inculcate the Third World into the First World is like worrying about 'health care' reform when the economy is in the tank.

  • What's Good for the Immigrant Is Good for the Economy
Frank commented on the article | about 2 years ago

Quite right Laura. Mexico has some of the toughest immigration laws in the Western hemisphere.

Which is to say they and their boosters are hypocrites.

If these illegal Third Worlders are so valuable, we wish them well and say bon voyage as they walk BACK to Mexico and make IT a better place.

  • What's Good for the Immigrant Is Good for the Economy
Frank commented on the article | about 2 years ago

You must have missed a number of refutations already posted here, of which I am obliquely referring to.

I read the article, and I see what all the open border "reform" mavens are saying. I've seen it all before. They can go on about Mexicans helping the economy till the cows come home but they fool no one.

Articles like this all come down to being in favor of--and supporting--the affirmative action 'economy,' the anti-racism 'economy,' the welfare 'economy,' and most especially, the "We hate whitey economy."

  • What's Good for the Immigrant Is Good for the Economy

The "facts" amount to hairsplitting and statistical vagueries all wrapped up in ambivalant double speak.

Whatever it takes to buttress making equal what is unequal I suppose....

  • Undocumented Students Begin a Walk to Remember
Frank commented on the article | about 2 years ago

Since liberalism preaches the free market with happy consumers as the ultimate identity for all, if these walkers are so great for an economy they can walk back to their own countries and be great there.
