  Ask American Airlines to cancel anti-vaccination message

  American Airlines should be ashamed to even consider running this interview. A minute or so spent on Google would easily reveal Meryl Dorey's claims to be completely wrong, and very, very dangerous. The type of misinformation about vaccines she spreads put people at risk, including children. The highest risk is for infants too young to be vaccinated, and who must rely on adults keeping up their inoculations. We know for a fact that babies have died from diseases prevented by a simple vaccination.

  In May 2011, an infant with measles was brought on board American Airlines flight 3965, and a hundred passengers had to be tracked down and many quarantined. Airing this interview just a year after that incident would be, in my opinion, an unforgivable lapse of judgement.

  I will not fly AA ever again if they run this interview, and I will make very sure the thousands of people who read my blog know about my decision.

  USPS: Honor New Horizons and the Exploration of Pluto with a USPS Stamp

  New Horizons is a pretty bold mission, and came close to being axed several times. The fact that it's on its way to the outer solar system is very exciting, and will no doubt get a lot of people interested in astronomy. Also, it's time to replace the old Pluto stamp that says "Not Yet Explored". By the time this stamp comes out, that may no longer be true.

  ABC Full Circle: Pull NVIC's anti-vaccine ad from the ABC Screen in Times Square

  Vaccines are one of the greatest medical advances in all of history, having saved hundreds of millions of lives. NVIC is an organization that spreads misleading and outright false information about vaccinations, and puts millions of lives - including those of babies - at risk. If ABC runs that ad, I will not watch their NYE show, and I will encourage my audience - hundreds of thousands of people - not to either.

  Tell Delta to Stop Putting their Passengers' Health at Risk

  NVIC is infamous for running misleading anti-vaccination ads that put the public at risk of deadly diseases. The NVIC is using bad information - outdated, proven false, and downright wrong - to scare people into avoiding vaccination. The truth is vaccines are one of the greatest medical achievements of all time, saving millions of lives every year. Delta: please stop running these blatantly wrong ads.

  Montreal Police: Take "Mabus" death threats seriously

  I have contacted police more than once about Dennis Markuze, and they got nowhere. I have contacted the Montreal police, and got nowhere. I have received actual death threats from him, and I support the attempt to get the Canadian police to take this seriously. I'm not looking to get him thrown in jail, but at the very least there is *overwhelming* evidence he should have a psychiatric examination. This needs to happen before his words escalate into actions.
