I have a similiar problem of a leather coat i have had for over 9 yrs, and boots also!I also have a pair of boots that were a gift 4 yrs ago that are lined with rabbit!But,i have nothing else to wear nor a budget to buy new boots or a coat!We don't even use our heater in the winter as we can't afford to!So, i wear what is handed down or i have!I would say, if you are in my shoes, instead of waste more animal fur and hide,bless it until it wears itself out and send it to the raibow heavens,thank it for keeping you warm in the winter as our ancestors did,replenish all that you can,on our sacred Earth Mother and never waste,there are always people in need,i live at venice beach, i see homeless and speak to them daily and offer them all te food and clothing i can,especially there doggies!We need to be compassionate spirits if we truly wish to change the mind set of mankind, we must change our own minds,be loving, and nurturing to all life 's breath here.Life is a gift,i pray to awaken all slumbering hearts,to the ssacredness of the animal kingdom,and all suffering,wakaya,11Wind
