  • Rape is not a Preexisting Condition

Our insurance companies are all about getting money these days. If they think that someone would be a risk because they are black or white, male of female, tall or short, heavy or skinny, rape victim or not, they would not offer them coverage. It is disgusting to see that this goes on. The women can't help that they were raped... they can't do anything to make that go away. They didn't do it to themselves. They are paying for someone else's crime.

  • The CSI Effect, Fact or Fiction?

I love these shows, but I also realize that most of this stuff is completely untrue. I know many people who have tried to go into these professions and were turned off by how much more difficult it was than they thought. It's not all coffee and glamor.

But as Amanda mentioned above, the overestimation of crime comes from other places in the media as well. They air the same overdramatic news broadcasts that make people think the murderer is coming after them.

  • Do 2/3 of Americans Really Support the Death Penalty?

How are we any better than those who commit murder if we commit murder ourselves?

You cannot tell me it is justified, no matter how brutal the crime. You are taking a life just as they did and that makes you no better than them. You are not giving them a choice to live. You are forcing them to die. That is MURDER plain and simple.

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
