Kristen Annastasia spent her childhood in Bishop, California. She has worked in a variety of capacities as a caretaker for disturbed children, a public school arts educator, a computer graphic artist, and independent filmmaker. In 2002, she founded DingarooPress.com. Designed to facilitate the development of innovative, independent works.
Kristen is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Marriage Family Therapy/Art Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute, on her way to becoming a mental health researcher. Dedicated to sustainable approaches in response to domestic violence, she is designing an innovative studio art therapy based residential treatment program for young women without children. Dingaroo Press, will sponsor this program and be made fully available to clients as they develop and promote their own creative works in their chosen fields, and she expects this collaboration to create economic sustainability for both the individual clients and the program that serves them.
