I think this is the most disrespectful thing. These days many high school females are looking to be involved in relationships to feel love for someone and most importantly they want to feel wanted. Some girls are willing to do whatever it takes to get that attention whether its hooking up or having sex. I firmly believe that schools should teach sex ed. Many schools choose not to due to parents' viewpoints on the issue. These high schoolers need to be taught about the dangers they put themselves through doing this stuff. If they are made aware of all of the harmful things this does maybe it can put some thought to what they believe is right.
Its not only dangerous but its degrading and hurtful to themselves. Why should they put themselves through this?? SEX ED needs to be taught in schools!!
That is absolutely rediculous. They let a man who raped a young girl out of jail just because she had to help take off her jeans but, do they consider the fact that he may have made threats of killing her, her family or someone else if she didn't take those pants off. Its unfair for that poor girl and her family to go through this. He should be put away for a long time. That judge should totally loose his position.
Definitely supporting Denim day, I am going to make it known in my community as well.
No not at all. From where i stand with that comment, I work in the medical field in a Psychiatric Emergency treatment area, with cases of drugs all the time. There are ways to treat a child that is addicted to drugs. With that situation at hand, thats where i make the comments such as young adults not being ready to raise a healthy baby, let alone a baby addicted to drugs. There are defnitely ways around it, medically speaking, the cost may not be so pretty but there are definitely ways around that to make sure that child can grow up to be nothing but a young healthy person. Regardless of the irresponsible parents mistake.
This topic can definitely bring up a lot of debates. I agree with this article 100%. I think "Child labor" is seen t, especially in little to low income areas. A lot of families tend to focus on their children to help out with Mortgage, groceries, as well as other bills. I believe its alright for an 18 year old or older to have to put towards things in the house such as paying a car payment and insurance, or paying a little for rent. Although i believe that if that 18 year old or older adult is working a job AND going to school its understandable for them not to be able to help out with this. But for the young children, such as 16 year old working two or three jobs, its unbelievable the statistics from 2009 to five or six years ago with the rate of high school drop outs. Speaking from someone who grew up in Baltimore City, it has turned out to be one of the most scary places, honestly. The crime rates and gang violence has risen immensely. Its all related to those young kids having such an expected high amount of responsibility it is overwhelming to them and have no other way out. At their age, to them receiving a paycheck every week is extremely more exciting then having two papers due in a week. At the same time, that's when enough is enough and they can't handle the stress and whats expected from them so they tend to eliminate their duties during the week. Which so happens to be school for most kids.
I understand your viewpoint and what you are saying. I was simply stating that there are young adults who get pregnant, and arent able to take care of a child, while their still a child. In those cases, i believe they should put a child up for adoption, rather than aborting. With that said, I wasnt stating that EVERY young adults should do this, because some have a benefit with having a wealthy-like/supportive family that are willing to help out while you continue on with your life to get to a point where you can be sucessful and care for the baby. Not everyone has this opportunity, for those cases, I dont believe in putting a child in this world who cannot be cared for appropriately and/or have disorganized parents. Nothing against you and your situation, I'm just saying. My opinion.
