I think seeing as it's 2011, and all the facts that are coming out about how bad the effects of consuming dairy and meat products, we NEED to make a change. What we should be promoting is good health resources; books, websites, movies...Forks Over Knives is a must-see for EVERYONE. We need to stop poisoning ourselves and switch to a plant based diet...it only makes sense. Saturated fat only comes from animals...not plants! And the cruelty that takes place everyday is disgusting and inhumane. Who are we to treat animals the way we do? For our selfish consumption? So, we can eat them because they taste good? So, we can wear them because it's so cool? I think that these beautiful and innocent creatures deserve a wonderful life, just like humans and their animal companions do. Please, let's once and for all end factory farming. Let's let these beautiful creatures live out their lifes in what God and Mother Nature intended for them. Farm and Animal Sanctuaries could provide wonderful and healthy lives for these animals along with providing employment for millions of the people that could take care of them on a daily basis...it's a win win! Animals could graze and keep the soil fertilized without the cess pool waste and sickness that it's infecting on so many not to mention the fact that these animals are breathing in and leaving in their filth everyday...could you possibly image that? We don't even like the smell of someone else's fart so think about that for a moment.
I really pray everyday for a world in which people no longer consume animals for their own guilty pleasures. What they need is more education on how to better take care of themselves so they can make healthy choices.
