  Counting the Uninsured in the U.S.

  I am not trying to sound ignorant in any way, shape, or form but I have to voice the opinion on my mind. I am all for a Universal Health Care plan for AMERICANS. We as people care too much about "public opinion" and "political correctness" and with this feeling comes the instinct to aid even those that are not supposed to be here to begin with. I think that we as a country need to focus on our own citizens before we can attempt to help those that are here illegally. I have seen first hand, the discrimination from the illiegal population, when I lived in Texas. I saw that illegal Mexicans were discriminating against me for the fact that I wasen't Mexican. I saw a feeling of entitlement, that they were owed something. They were able to own businesses, hire only "their own kind", not hire you if you were not bilingual. I have even witnessed scams of the welfare and charity systems by these people. I do not feel as though they should be included in the Healthcare Reform, they have been taking from the economy of this country for a long time and I think this is where the line should be drawn. We need to get our citizens out of the recession before we can help anyone else. You may say that the illegals will do jobs that no one else would do, that may be true with some, but when you have a degree and lose a job to a person that speaks no english, there is a problem. Give a single father of two an opportunity for the jobs that no one else will take, and see if he frowns his face at the opportunity.
