I'm a journalist & former columnist for CBC Radio and Television Canada, a passionate Better World Scout, abolistionist & soccer mum committed to ending poverty & human suffering through women's empowerment, education & the end of human trafficking.

I want to give people a chance to become self-sufficient & live an honourable life.

I believe in the power of social entrepreneurship/investing.

I believe a hand up is better than a hand out & that it needs to be both transparent & accountable.

I believe that planting many seeds of uplift in small & meaningful ways helps people become self-sustaining & strengthens the social & economic fabric of communities.

I believe ending poverty depends on empowering & educating women who are denied rights & a voice.

I believe every child deserves the opportunity to be safe & thrive in spite of race, gender, cultural or economic conditions.

I believe my voice is a gift meant to be given in the service of people who do not have one.
