Rakesh Singh

Rakesh Singh is a social activist interested in development of young people, through their active participation and involvement in youth movements, youth organisations, non governmental organisations and civil society organisation. Rakesh started as a member of local youth organisation and took centre stage in the state of Orissa in India when he became the college student union president. He took up for the social issue and concerns and raised voice in the district of Mayurbhanj, through protests and hunger strikes the non violence means and slowly moved into state scenario and continued it in the context of India as well as in the international level being part of groups, organisations and agencies in assisting to develop innovative ways of motivating organisation and social renewal. He has a passion to build a better world through participation and democratic means and create a sustainable and peaceful society through taking up responsibility, good education and awareness.
