I have severe narcolepsy: all the symptoms, and can't drive or work. I also have Fibromyalgia, RA, and Diabetes type 2. When my narcolepsy onset: EDS in 2000, REM auxiliary symptoms exploded the WEEK of 9-11, somehow the psychological trauma helped my Narcolepsy SP, HH, and Cataplexy onset with horrible severity. I get "hit" with this overwhelming feeling of sleepiness...Cataplexy is triggered in me with laughter, anger, surprise, fear, empathizing with a fictional/real character/situation, and fighting sleepiness.
