Jackie commented on the article |In some countries families will do whatvever they can to get money even if that means trading in their kid. I wonder if they even cherish a bond with their children or just see them as workers from the start. For example, my father was stationed in the Philippines several years ago. A friend of his was riding a motorcycle down a street there and killed a 3 year old Filipino boy. The family was distraught at the sight but sad tears quickly turned into happiness when the friend paid a few hundred dollars on the spot to the parents.
