  "Human Exceptionalism" Exceptionally Arrogant

  I highly recommend the book "Dominion: the Power of Man, the Suffering of Animals and the Call to Mercy" by Matthew Scully. It is a beautifully written book in which the author very eloquently argues that humanity's 'dominion' over animals does not give us the right to abuse them, but rather calls us to be merciful towards them.
