  Saving with SaveNYC

  In addition to the need for innovative public-private partnerships that can encourage and reward asset building among low wage workers, there is a need to raise the general public's awareness and support of the asset building field.  Given the success of Kiva, think about what an impact individual donors could have.  We at SaveTogether (www.savetogether.org) have created a nationally scalable platform where individual donors can contribute additional matching funds to an individual saver of their choosing who is participating in a matched savings program.  It is our hope that this platform will bring more funds into the field so that more can participate, and that on a personal level both donors and savers are transformed by the experience of ushering in a new focus on sound saving and investment.
