    Just a little fact check, Iceland extends the same benefits to its LGBTQ citizens, and is a republic.

    @Dan Johnson

    Great job twisting the information in this article to support your sexist belief system.

    This is not about women believing in whatever is presented and men wanting proof, as you so boldly claim. This is about women believing the conclusions of people who are more qualified to make them (scientists with college degrees), and men who do not have a degree in climate science, that think they know more than those who do.

    And I'm sorry to break it to you, but no, spending a couple hours googling "climate change" does not amount to scientific research, or lead to an informed decision...

    Don't you just love it when elected Democrats act more like Republicans. Although, I guess I can't really blame Senator Rockefeller for opposing climate legislation, since he is just trying to represent his constituents. No, I'm not talking about the two million of people living in West Virginia, I mean the Coal Industry. After all, they're who pay his real paycheck, not that measly one we pay for through our tax dollars...

    Why should we go vote? To give democrats two more years to do nothing? Why should we spend an hour of our lives voting for democrats if all they are going to do is sit on their bottoms and collect big fat checks from Wall Street, Big Oil, The Healthcare Industry, etc.? They've had two years, and a supermajority in the Senate to pass climate legislation, and they failed. Not because they couldn't do it, but because they didn't want to. That is the reality of the situation.

    This makes perfect sense to me. In this society the male ego tends to think it can do anything and everything all by itself, without help or advice from anyone. As Jess noted, apparently some men even think they can do scientific research themselves by simply spending a couple hours on google. God forbid we listen to scientists with their PhDs and decades of research. No, in this day and age, scientific research is just another do it yourself project, no scientific degree required.
