  Dear Auntie Siobhan: My Students Don't Care, So Why Should I?

  Its an interesting debate whether teachers or parents have more influence over motivation. Certainly the odd inspirational teacher can create a spark or light a fire. If often see this problem from a career advice perspective. Unless a youngster has an embryonic view of what they want to achieve (a mini personal vision with related goals), in many cases we have to accept that we'll have to wait until they move through that phase.
