  Generation has raised a thoughtful point here; adolescents neither listen to their parents, nor to their teachers. The situation gets worse when they actually make foolish decisions and shows an immature and reckless behaviour towards their future and career plans. A teacher should try to motivate the students in a friendly manner. For instance, if your students are not interested in writing, you can assign an article to them for your class blog. Setting small goals and rewarding on the fulfilment can actually work for you. But, keep in mind that rewards should be according to their interest.
