Connecticut Town Proposes "Right to Farm" Law

We sit back while they steal more and more of our liberties. Family farmers have been the backbone of this country for hundreds of years. Big business, morphed food stuffs, and lack of competition will drive up the costs of food in the future. I personally do not want to lose my own ability to grow tomatoes (I HATE gassed tomatoes) and most of what we get are gassed. I love the Farmer's Market here and do all I can to buy fresh produce grown with love and pride rather than from those who crupt our food supplies. What 'they' are doing to meat on big farms almost make me turn in my meat taste buds for a vegie only diet. Cruelty and inhumane treatment of animals and feeding them all the drugs is affecting our health and the health and growth of our children. Milk use to do a body good but having open stomach and standing in their own shit is far from being good for us. Food safety law did absolutely nothing about this problem. And Monsanto and all their power built into these new regulations coupled with the should be "illegal" patenting of food seed (calling it pesticide) that makes the scariest Twilight Zone look like children's play.
