Congress is making laws that are really mind dazzling. For instance, the Matthew Shepard Act. The Matthew Shepard Act has been stalled in Congress. The Matthew Shepard Act, or the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act (or the LLEHCPA - that's a mouthful) is intended to include homosexual persons covered under hate crimes legislation, as they are a minority. Senator Jeff Sessions, R- Alabama, is trying to get the bill killed by putting on a "poison pill amendment" to extend more unsecured loans for the F22 Raptor program, an unnecessary cost according to the Pentagon. (They know better than he does in this case.) Homophobia is running rampant, but it seems civil rights aren't a priority to Sen. Sessions. It's worth more than pay day loans to pass the Matthew Shepard Act.
