i agree noel. work force is key i think. i live in Bakersfield cal. and our area needs a lot of work. the empty lots, along highways, alleys, farming, a work of trade. that's what should pay for their housing and meals. we have prisons here that give them movie time where a officer brings in a movie to show them on movie night. they do art, and eat Twinkies. they should be given an 8 hour work day and they can sleep good at night. reform. our systems r full of drug addicts that cant stop the dope and rob others to get the money for it. in most cases a person given a fine will not pay it and re-offend again, its a revolving door. they say we don't have the money or the person to "baby sit" and watch criminalsthat r working. its completely obvious that whats happening now DOES NOT WORK! rehabilitate. we have too. give criminals skills and encouragement, lets help them succeed, not fail over and over. i have never been in trouble myself, but have family and friends that have. the desperation they feel after failing the first time puts them in a spiral downward. people who feel they have no hope can live their whole lives with no care for others and just
re-offend. the process of change is slow but I'm sure we can see good results in years to come if we can have a better rehabilitation system. WORK FORCE I agree and we should put more efforts towards a goal like that.
