Deanna commented on the petition |I do not know which distortion or harbinger of disaster from the combination of highly paid lobbyists was responsible for providing you with the falsified information on the safety and desirability of GMO beets and alfalfa...but they should be cited for criminal malice, gross irresponsibility and negligence. As President of the United States your information should be irrefutable truth, for you must rely on it. Genetically Modified DNA is inundating the food market place with plants that are not longer intact, no longer guaranteed to even contain the nutritional balance they have traditionally held. Alter the DNA, you alter the proteins, disrupting the intricate balance of life giving elements in the plants...substituting an ability to withstand pesticide poisoning, with DNA now making toxic combinations that have not been tested for the damage of accumulation and interlocking of these fragments with our own DNA. This is dangerous ground, and I don't think you have been given the important information that will protect your daughters in the future. The lobbyist financing that ensures you will be influenced away from protection of God-given well known natural healthy plant foods can not be met by small farmers and others who have researched it independently...we do have not taken the spider spun Montsanto funded research provided by those who stand to gain personally. Please re-investigate this generational DNA change that has now been found to integrate into human physical bodies...despite the original claims to the contrary. Please look at the newest research. Although frightening, it is essential to confront before more weird genetic disorders become common-place. Mogellans...disease (which has resulted from genetic manipulation using "stem-cell-like" properties..which can take a variety of forms....has uncovered plant-like fibers growing within human bodies now, erupting in skin lesions, obsessive itching, and when pulled from the skin- great pain, as if pulling out tentacles. This was unheard of before GMO products. IT needs to stop in it's tracks. There is a lot of effort to minimize the significance of this mis-named condition...because it is so bizzare...and poorly understood. Yet, it is real, and ugly. The long term impact of GMO's is NOT KNOWN and NOT ACKNOWLEDGED...they are dangerous in silent ways, that are as of yet still only beginning to be seen. Please reconsider your support for GMO corporation products. Thank you. I remain your loyal supporter.

If Columbia University lists the risk of an earthquake as high as 7.0 at the Indian Point Nuclear Site, perhaps we might want to learn the harsh lesson faced by Japan...called learning from our other human mistakes...maybe we can make the changes early. Other energy producing jobs can be in the hopper....so we don't destroy the lives of the workers...just affect the ways they make money to survive....The point is they will survive and unharmed from the well known and very great dangers posed by a nuclear melt down time bomb..from uncontrollable earthquakes unleashing nuclear danger, and permanent damage to the land and environment and the people far beyond the local area.

Deanna commented on the petition |Some things can't be renewed, repaired, or replaced in our lifetimes. This forest is one of those things. Money is a factor in decisions that appeal to the greed in a man or a company. But you can make the money...with an alternate route that does not destroy something that deserves to remain intact. Please indicate your willingness to work with an alternate route out of respect for the multitude of human beings in Russia who value this forest. Thank you for considering this, and turning your energy to another route
