  Thanks for mentioning our Green Fork Blog in your post.  I intern for the Eat Well Guide, which writes the Green Fork Blog, and it's a great resource for reading up on sustainable food, environmental, and farm practices going on around the U.S. and Canada.  Also, "Fresh" by Ana Jones is a film I would highly reccommend if you are interested in farming practices!  Keep in touch!
