  High Rents Leave Little Room in the Budget for Important Stuff Like Food

  All great points. When you're drawing up a budget for your family with children, consider the following: diapers cost approx $100/month/child. Diapers are NOT covered by food stamps. Diapers are not an optional, luxury item. They are a necessity.

  Bluster and Indignation after Alleged NYC Charity Scam

  I guess I should scrutinize the charities I donate to more closely. No way I expect only 40 cents on the dollar to go to the clients. Do all these charities exist mainly to subsidize advocates and social workers?

  Police Shoot and Kill Homeless Man... AGAIN

  This doesn't belong on the 'End Homelessness' forum page. It is only here because the victim was homeless. The issue of valid use of force is the same regardless of whether the victim is homeless or not. People follow this forum to hear about homelessness issues, which this is not.

  Myrtle Beach Limits "Mass Feedings"

  Seems like this shouldn't be a problem. Both sides have reasonable points of view. Just need to move the feeding locale to allay the neighbors concerns.
