I'm a mohter of 3 boys. My middle child 15th is Autistic and was incarcerated for 11 days due to the lack of investigation from the School's Administrators, after all, The Police concluded that it was a false acussation, that my son was not at the school's premises the day of the incident. Because of the poor communication skills for been autistic, my son was unable to advocate for himself. The cruelty and lack of cooperation from the School Administration and the Juvenile Court Judge had forced me to stand not only for my son, but for all other disabled children unable to advocate for themselves. I understood how vulnerable are disabled children at this time, when our society and public representatives only care for money. We need to stop the Schoolhousing-Jailhousing pipeline.
The Dept of Education in Washington needed to control all the Special Ed Departments in our States. Judges are jailing kids for cash. Disabled children are exposed to cruel punishments.

How the Juvenile Justice System Failed Me and How to Fix It

I'd been pray a lot for you and so many other children I knew about, when looking for information about the illegality of placing children with disability in the same correctional facilities as normal youth are placed I found the www. eji.org webside, and believe me I founded myself lost of not knowing anything about all the abuse and lack of humanity our children are been exposed. From that day on I decided to work and joined groups that advocates for the rights of youth detained in Juvenile facilities, and how to prevent youth to get involved with the Juvenile Justice System. May the Universe give you the strenght and peace to forgive those who because of their insanity and ingnorance were capable to hurt a child.

Be a good father, a good husband and honorable person like I know you are. Keep helping others and the Universe will compesate you, not in the next live but right now. Receive the blessing from a mother that won't stop until the Juvenile Justice Reform be signed. Love, Health and Prosperity for you and all your love ones.

Sexual Assaults Rampant in Juvenile Detention

MATT, like you said this is a big job. We can't just let it go doing nothing. There's much more behind the grotesque situations some kids are been exposed. 60-70% of YOUTH detained in correctional facilities are DISABLED, who is advocating for them? besides the threats or privileges coming from the correctionals staff, a Disabled child will be unable to complaint for themselves. Probably among the 12 % of youth raped inside the Juvenile Detention Centers, those Youth with Disability were not included. According to investigation from Human Rights Watch, Children's Right, "Youth with Disability are considered the majority of the inmates population detained in correctional facilities. Approximately 100,000 youth with Disability are been shipped annually to Juvenile Detention Centers, the majority coming from School's Complaints. WHERE DO WE HAVE TO START? ARE OUR LEADERS AWARE? ARE THE SCHOOL OFFICIALS SEEN THE CONSEQUENCES? ARE WE GOING TO REMAIN CALM AND LET THEM HURT MORE CHILDREN?

I hesitate. We need to stand for our children.

STOP ABUSING OUR DISABLED CHILDREN: SCHOOL HOUSE-JAIL HOUSE PIPELINE

It's scary seen the Criminal Justice System as another source of income like any wall street business instead of Justice and respect for the humanity. We are loosing the connections. We are confusing the power of money and politics.

The non respect toward our youth integrity will be as powerful and dangerous as the global warming is for us right now and will end only if WE GET TOGETHER understanding nobody is exempt if there's money involved.

The Criminal Justice System is corrupted, they are cashing kids for money, they are cashing immates for programs that pay more for services and therapies. Theres only justice made when you pay for it.

STOP THE INSANITY. As taxpayers, we are supporting all the transfers and paying the salaries to all those making wrong decisions. Do we have the right to ask for transparency about any Judge or Prosecutor in our County? Why the Election for Judges in our Cities is not as public as any Board of Education election? When Judges are even more important to us than our Mayors.

Should we considered County Judge's election another political strategy?

It's so much corruption than even those corrupted won't be able to supported.
