If you enact a not-for-profit medical system with physicians, you will get what you pay for......after 8 to 12 years of schooling, hundred's and thousands of dollars in debt to get educated and set up an office they need to be for profit and free market system can work if the government regulators do their jobs.

Texans do not spend more per capita on health care that anyone else....AMA. Texas does however have the best medical system in the world. Md Anderson, University Hospital, Cancer Treatment Centers, etc. The hospital billings are significantly larger that most of the country, because people from all over the world come here for care. So it isn't more expense for us, it actually brings money from elsewhere into Texas.
Just goes to show you that when you look at statistics or polls you can skew them any way you want.

If you went to a orthopedic surgeon, naturally his specialty is to do surgery. You need to select your doctors more carefully.

We do have an alternative solution. We could go back to the 80-20% policies with an out of pocket cap of $5000/famiy of yesteryear........ We pay 20% of costs including the deductible and the insurance kicks in 80% after bills total $5000 per family the insurance takes over @ 100%. This worked very well....and protected every one against catastrophic illness. For those without insurance, this can be handled through hospital indigent funds, churches and welfare participants through a single insurance provider. WE DO NOT NEED NATIONAL HEALTH CARE AND OBAMA NEEDS TO STOP SPENDING MONEY WE DON'T HAVE.

Global warming is a complete hoax. The scientists are now saying that we will be going through a global warming over the next few years. This is a normal cycle historically and is being used to make money through cap and trade with credits being sold only by Al Gore's company and funneled through GE.
    Hmmmmmmmmmmmm and self interest there?

This poll is bunk as is the CBS poll. I trust Rasmussen and Gallop and the polls run by them is just the opposite. We have a rule of law here and it needs to be enforced. I am in favor of a path to citizenship without large $$$ fines, but instead I would like a 5 year period where 2080 hours of public service would be required to give something back to the society they came to and give a sense of value to being here. Only after 5 years of public service and health and background checks would any citizenship be possible. But the borders need to be enforced before we do anything. Stop the flow of illegal aliens, then deal with the people who are here.

Hate to say this, but the Rassmuten (spelling?) and gallup polls show the opposite.
